2013

A personal note from Adrienne

We are truly into 2013 now and it doesn't seem possible that January is almost at an end.

Last year was a great year for Magnolia Court.  Billy and I were thrilled when Phase I in our outdoor area was completed!  Having a deck, pergola and walkway added to our garden area, not to mention the changes made to our gazebo, was exciting for us...and our customers.

Last year I also attended my first wedding conference.  It was a very rewarding experience for me to meet others who are involved in the wedding industry.  I learned a lot at the conference and just being around others in the wedding industry motivated me to make some changes to our facility.

One of the main things I learned was how important social media is to the wedding industry.  Mobil devices are being used more and more to plan weddings.  For this reason I knew that I had a list of things to learn and do to catch up.

I took an online class last year to learn a new software program to redo my website.  I completed the course and I'm happy to say that as of just a couple of weeks ago I have launched the new site.  It's exciting to hear all the positive feedback from my customers.  I always welcome their help and comments on how I can make their wedding planning easier.

For this reason I am continuously adding new information to the my links above; budget ideas, outdoor wedding ideas, etc.  I try to do as much research as possible to help keep my customers informed.

New in 2013 we hope to add more sitting areas to our garden, as well as planting several large Italian Cypress trees near the back of our building in the garden area.  This will help to create a beautiful background for photos.

I also hope to add a blog to the website.  I have many first time mothers of brides...as well as brides...who need as much help and feedback as possible to plan their event.

We still plan to add more cottages for members of the families to stay in while attending events at Magnolia Court.  We haven't decided a firm date...but hope to have our next one up in 2014!  These will accommodate four guest.

As usual, I'm asking you to e-mail me if you have any suggestions or comments.

Remember as each day passes that life is short.  I'm reminded how easily I could have lost my husband when he had his heart attack 3 years ago.  Each day we wake up is even more special to us.  Count your blessings....tell your loved ones how much you love them each day....and remember...you don't know what the future holds...

Thanks, Adrienne Tate

2012

A personal note from Adrienne

Welcome to 2012, I hope all of you had a wonderful 2011 holiday season.  We did, with all of our children and grandchildren coming in for the holidays.  It's just so hard to believe how fast the time seems to fly by.

With that said, remember that your date for your event will come up so fast, it will surprise you.  This is one of the reasons that I have so many wedding, reception, event planning and budget ideas on the links to your right.  I put these to assist you in making the important decisions that need to made for your event.

Also, make sure to check out our link to your left, Organizing Your Event.  You will find not only a twelve month brides list but also a reception and rehearsal check list as well as loads of other information for your use.

Again, I want to remind you that I have learned over the past 15 years in business that the couples who have done their homework in the form of research and being prepared for their special day, are the ones who are the most relaxed.

I am not a wedding planner, but after being in business for so long and seeing just about all you can imagine...no question is crazy!

Ok, except for the occasional bride who books months in advance then asks if I think it will rain on their date...what?  If I had that answer it would have been beautiful, sunny weather when my son got married indoors instead of outdoors.

For this reason, plan your wedding outdoors just like you want it to be, but remember that Mother Nature could rain on your special day....so have a plan B to move your event indoors....and keep your attitude in check...then...IT WILL BE A PERFECT DAY !

So please call me if you have any questions at all...and please if you have any ideas or suggestions that I could share with others, feel free to e-mail me....I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks, Adrienne Tate

2011

Welcome to 2011, I am just starting this magazine...so please be patient as I continue to work on it. It's so hard to believe that it is now 2011.

Many of you have a wedding coming up shortly, and there are others who have months to prepare....either way, you will be starting a new life together as husband and wife this year.

What will your new life be like?  Where will the future take you?  What will you accomplish in 2011?

I'm so excited for the new year....my husband and I will celebrate our 19th year anniversary....how time flies! It's been a rough couple of years for us, as many of you know...my back surgery just last May...and my husband's heart attack just a year ago...but all is well and we are both doing fine.

If there is anything I have learned is that my husband, children and grandchildren mean everything to me....life is short....enjoy every moment of each and every day....

Magnolia Court is just beginning its 14th year in business. I have seen many brides and grooms come into our facility with high hopes for their event.

I have learned that the couples who have done their homework in the form of research and knowing and being prepared for their event are the ones who seem to be the most relaxed.

Here at Magnolia Court we want your event to be hassle free...I am more than happy to answer any questions that you may have and give you suggestions and ideas...but you need to take the time to plan so that on the day of your event you will be ready.

I look forward to this year, as I hope all of you do.  My hope is that this online magazine will help to make your preparations hassle free....just remember, e-mail or call me if you have any questions.

Continue to check this online magazine to see what new ideas and hints I have posted. Check the links on the left side for the articles I have posted.

Some of these were posted months ago on Magnolia Court's Facebook page.  I am reposting them here for those who do not use Facebook.

I will continue to post suggestions and ideas...so check back often. If you have any ideas or suggestions that I could share with others, feel free to e-mail me....I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks, Adrienne Tate
