Some of my customers are looking for a wedding and event planner as well as a decorator. Let's face it, not everyone has the time, nor the ability to handle all of their event needs. For these customers I have a list under Organizing Your Event with many decorators and event planners. I must say that I have a couple of people that I personally recommend. One of them is now our In House Decorator and Event Planner, Karen Derise.

Karen Derise is a decorator as well as a wedding and event planner in Lafayette, LA. She not only loves any excuse to throw a party, she's great at it. She has planned and decorated for many weddings, baby showers, birthdays, retirement or engagement parties with over 20 years of experience in this field. Her training, expertise and contacts will help turn your dream wedding or event into a reality. If you can dream it, Karen will do her best to make it happen!

I have had many of my customers use my information on my website to find their decorator and/or event planner. Each time I check with them to make sure they are satisfied with the person they have chosen. I have never had anyone say anything negative about Karen or her prices. As you will see below, her prices are more than reasonable. She will also work with you to help you have your perfect event and still stay in your budget.

In fact, I recently spoke to one of my customers who is in the military and is stationed in North Louisiana. She has hired Karen to plan and decorate her wedding. She wanted to let me know how pleased she is with Karen. She also told me that Karen has called her many times to talk to her, and that she is just, as she put it, "so easy to talk to". First time in person Consultation to discuss what you require of me as a planner. $20.00

A day of planner will help create a wedding timeline, confirm with vendors and handle the wedding day details from start to finish. $300.00

Handle the wedding day and other planning advice and guidance, but couple will do the pre-wedding footwork. $250.00

A full service planner - plan the wedding and handle most details and the wedding day. - $450.00

Add to the above service - direct the wedding rehearsal also.- $500.00

Consulting package: planner recommends venues and vendors. Offers advice on colors and style, provide etiquette advice and help couple stay on track with their planning. Will handle legwork and small details on on the wedding day. Will interact with vendors and make sure the day goes smoothly.-$800

Planner helps plan wedding from beginning to end. Helps plan ceremony, directs rehearsal, decorates for wedding, directs wedding, Assists throughout the entire occasion with what ever is needed. -$1000.00

Karen also has many decorations that she can furnish with an additional fee from $25 - $100 depending on what is used.
